Here at Turkey Ridge, not only do we want you to enjoy your stay and have a succesfull hunt, but we also want you comfortable and safe. Here is a list of recommended gear we believe you should pack to ensure you have a great hunt and visit, here in Central New York.
- Appropriate NYS Hunting License
- License holder for back tag
- Gun/Bow
- Shot gun- Pattern and know your range
- Rifle / Muzzleloader- Pattern and know your effective range
- Bow- Practice with broadheads you will be using
- Ammo/Arrows
- Safety harness for tree stand hunting
- Blaze orange ( hat or vest) for gun deer hunts (not required but recommended)
- Range Finder (not required but recommended)
- Flashlight (a good bright one)
- Bug spray / Tick repellent
- Seat/Cushion for turkey hunting
- Hand/Boot warmers
- Hat/Gloves/ Face Mask
- Waterproof foot wear
- Rain Gear
- Slippers for @ camp
- Pack appropriate clothes for season you are hunting
- Cooler for successful hunt
